Renoxi

Renoxi Tablet is a medicine that is used for the treatment of High blood pressure, Acute bronchitis, Chronic bronchitis, Paracetamol poisoning, Carbon tetrachloride poisoning, Congestive heart failure and other conditions. Renoxi Tablet contains N-Acetyl Cysteine, and Taurine as active ingredients. Renoxi Tablet works by binding to the poisonous form of paracetamol; calming the sympathetic nervous system;

Composition

This medication is a combination of these two components, mainly antioxidants N-acetylcysteine & Taurine.

It’s used to treat diabetic kidney disease. It supports and prevents the deterioration of microalbuminuria (excretion of proteins in the urine) in diabetic kidney patients. It protects the kidneys from damage due to toxic chemicals (free radicals). Moreover, there are no common side effects seen due to the medication.

Side Effects

The most commonly reported side-effects of Renoxi Tablet are Inflammation of the mucous membrane of the mouth, Nausea, Vomiting, Fever, Mucus filled nasal cavity, and Drowsiness.

The following is a list of possible side effects that may occur from the use of Renoxi Tablet. This is not a comprehensive list. These side effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side effects may be rare but serious. Consult your doctor if you observe any of the following side effects, especially if they do not go away.

  • Inflammation of the mucous membrane of the mouth
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Fever

  • Drowsiness
  • Chest tightness
  • Bronchoconstriction
  • Rashes
  • Taurine is possibly safe for adults
  • Children when taken by mouth in appropriate amounts
Precautions

Before using this drug, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Important counseling points are listed below. Avoid use during pregnancy and breastfeeding

Avoid using the drug if asthmatic

Do not consume if allergic to the drug

Make bipolar disorder worse

Monitor patients with congestive heart failure

Should not be consumed in people having history of peptic ulcer

Should not be used using nebulizers
